Dear Grumpy Realtor,
My family and I just bought a house in what we thought was quiet neighborhood, but the neighbor to the north is really loud and obnoxious. Is there any recourse? Can we sue the seller for withholding that information?

Dear Freddy,
What are you talking about? No one moved in south of me. Kidding aside, you’re plumb out of luck. The seller (and their realtor) are under no obligation to warn you about the neighbors.. That’s where a little pre-purchase detective work comes in – roll through the neighborhood at different times of day to see what the locals are like. Sadly, the only recourse you have is to try to communicate with the neighbor like an adult or if the noise level exceeds the City Codes you can call the city and report them. Good luck!
